ZINVO Sponsors Supercars Club Arabia Dubai Rally
ZINVO teamed up with Supercars Club Arabia to bring together 35 owners of supercars from across the region for a one-day rally in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Seeing a supercar accelerating down the large highways of Dubai is not out of the ordinary, but seeing 35 of them ride together will impress even the most jaded crew.
This ZINVO sponsored event follows on the heels of the epic one-week Supercars Club Arabia rally that look place earlier this year. As huge gearheads ourselves, we relished at another opportunity to ride along with the world's most exclusive car club. Let's take a closer look at some of these beautiful machines.
A true lover of motorsports chooses the Lamborghini Huracan. Its naturally aspirated V-10 engine accelerates from 0-60 MPH in 2.5 seconds. The acceleration is aided by a dual-clutch 7 speed transmission which helps the car clear a quarter-mile in 10.4 seconds @135 MPH. This car is fast and worth every penny.
The Aventador is an absolutely stunning car to feast your eyes on. The angles, air-intakes, and low profile are just as aggressive as its power-train. The naturally balanced, and hand built V-12 engine brings this beast from 0-60 MPH in 2.9 seconds with a quarter-mile in 10.8 seconds @132.3 MPH. It also has a top speed of 217 MPH.
It doesn’t get more exclusive than the McLaren P1. Even if you wanted one, you can’t have one. That’s because all 375 of them have been sold—and for good reason. The 727 horsepower twin-turbo V-8 is combined with a 177 horsepower electric engine for that extra jump during the takeoff; giving us a 0-60 MPH in 2.6 seconds, and a quarter-mile in 9.8 seconds @152 MPH. Now that’s some speed!
There is nothing quite like the sound of a Ferrari engine. This Italian Stallion packs 661-horsepower in a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V-8, sending it off to 0-60 MPH in 3 seconds and a quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds. It does an amazing 20 mpg and is one of the best supercars Ferrari has made.
Ferrari 458 Speciale
The predecessor to the 488, the Ferrari 458 Speciale packs a punch. The 597-horsepower 4.5L V-8 engine is Ferrari’s most powerful naturally aspirated engine; and does 0-60 MPH in 2.9 seconds, a quarter-mile in 11 seconds and a top speed of 202 MPH. This is a truly special supercar from Ferrari, and we love that it was part of the rally.
Aside from insane looks, it's apparent that there are some common mechanical themes shared among many of the supercars involved in the rally. First up, they have 600 horsepower engines. What's more, the cars can achieve 0-60 MPH acceleration in under 3 seconds. And finally, the cars have top speeds that reach over 200 MPH. These are the best of the best indeed.
We look forward to cruising with Supercars Club Arabia again in the very near future.
